What a SMART Board!

Thank you for attending the Introduction to SMART Board class. We hope that you enjoyed the class. At this time we would like to ask you to fill out our evaluation. We have three questions we would like you to answer. Simply click on the Comments link below this post, sign in anonymously and have at us. Please respond to the following questions:
  1. What is one thing that you learned?
  2. What is one thing that the class instructor could have done better?
  3. What is one way that you plan on using this in your classroom?

Also if you ever need another handout they are available on-line, as well as other information relating to the SMART Board. You can find all of it here.

I learned how to navigate through the SmartNotebook Software. Instructors were very helpful and informative. As a Substitute Teacher, it will be helpful to take over the lessons of the day in the absence of the homeroom teacher.

I learned how to apply the smart board technology to my classroom: specifically how to do a lesson on counting, number and letter writing. I liked the small class and individual attention.

1. I learned how to access various sites, how to use a daily weather planner.
2.Send us a map to the place site.
3.I will probably use it with maps for Social Studies at first.

I learned how to work at home to set up and lock a page to use at school as a template. I also learned how to save my work or a student's work for future use or to send home.

We missed the first 1/4 of the class which made a slower start for us, but the instructors did a good job. Sometimes the speed at which the tap the board was a bit fast for womeone who is trying to watch and get a "feel" for what to do.

Specifically, I liked the maps, science and math. I'm not sure yet. I did like learning about how the boards are projected and aligned too as we have to move the boards from rrom to room. Thanks for the set up ideas.
